Black and white mixed breed dog portrait on warm beige studio backdrop — professional dog photography in London, Ontario | Paws Photos

Your phone has hundreds of photos of your dog.

And somehow none of them are the one.

Hi, I'm Christina — a dog photographer based in London, Ontario, and I understand that frustration on a deeply personal level. I have dogs. I photograph them constantly. And for a long time, every single photo missed the thing I was actually trying to catch. The lighting was off. They moved.

Or I got the shot technically right and it still just… didn't look like them.

(I also fully cry at dog photos. Yours, mine, strangers' on the internet. Fair warning.)

That frustration is actually why I started shooting professionally. I wanted photos of my own dogs that I could hang on the wall — not because they were cute, but because they were them. The one who looked inexplicably dignified while dragging a stuffed duck across the floor. The chaotic one. The one with the goofy smile that people don't believe until they see it.

I wanted those moments frozen somewhere I could find them again in ten years. So that's what I do now for other people's dogs here in London, ON.

Meet the Crew

Smiling couple holds two Shiba Inu dogs on a purple studio background - professional dog photography in London, Ontario | Paws Photos

Christina : photographer, dog whisperer, the one behind the lens.

Tom : the treat guy. Officially the most popular person in the studio. Dogs love him more than they love the camera, which is exactly the point.

Moru : our red Shiba Inu. Has strong opinions about everything, and will absolutely ignore you until she decides you're worth her time. Basically a friendly cat in a dog costume.

P.O : our black and tan Shiba Inu. Self-appointed guardian of the house. Currently very busy protecting a small toddler from unknown threats.

What a Session Looks Like

My sessions are studio-based dog portraits with bold, vivid paper backdrops — the kind of punchy colours that strip away everything else so your dog is the whole point of the photo. No distracting backgrounds, no competing elements. Just them, huge and full-frame, looking exactly like themselves.

And then we actually have fun with it. Treat catches. Bubble chasing. A ball mid-air. Their favourite toy. Whatever it takes to get that expression — the one you're always trying to get on your phone and never quite do. If your dog has a ridiculous personality that nobody believes until they meet them, honestly, that's my favourite thing to photograph.

Controlled chaos is kind of my specialty.

The result is dog portraits that don't just look nice — they feel like your dog.
The ones you'll look at years from now and remember exactly how they were.

I'm based in London, Ontario and also available for events in the surrounding area.
